Power Assisted Liposuction

Description

This type of liposuction is one of the most common and most effective types of Liposuction. Power Assisted Liposuction is preformed using a cannula that uses rapid tiny vibrations that break up the fat cells so they can be sucked out of the body. This technique allows doctors to be more productive in a shorter amount of time. It allows for more fat to be sucked out in one procedure. This technique also leads patients to much more noticeable results and a much faster recovery time. Typically patients only take about three days to a week to recover, although some of the swelling can remain for 6 months to a year. Power assisted lipo is also one of the safest types of liposuction because the doctor has full control. The power assisted lipo procedure is preformed using tumescent fluid, which is an anesthetic liquid that is a mixture of Lidocaine, Epinephrine, and Bicarb. This fluid is injected into the treatment area. The Lidocaine is used for numbing of the areas. The Epinephrine helps toto minimize bleeding. And the Bicarb helps reduce stinging from the Lidocaine, and also to help break up the fat cells for easier sucking.
