Description
Breast Augmentation Surgery
Breast Augmentation surgery, it is a very exciting and emotional experience for most women. Especially for women who have been self-conscious their whole life. There is the slim possibility that after surgery the women’s result falls short of her expectations or worse – results in her being even more self-conscious about her breasts than before the procedure. Doctors take these cases very seriously and always should fix the work that unsatisfies the patient.
How long after Breast Augmentation surgery do I need to wait before I have my implants exchanged or my augmentation revised?
Most doctors recommend waiting at least 3 months after surgery, this allows time for the implant to drop into place and for the skin around it to relax. If the patient can, waiting until closer to 6 months is more recommended.
If the patient just needs a revision (one fixed to look more like the other) then most doctors recommend waiting about 4 months. If one implant is higher than the other or in a different position, the doctor can go in under local anesthesia and correct the pocket to place the implant in the same position as the opposite.
Revision breast augmentation or enlargement surgery is an operation in which the previously operated breasts are improved in appearance by correcting asymmetry, unfavorable scarring, or making changes to the shape or size of the previously placed breast implants. It really is a breast augmentation repair. The implants may be saline or silicone. The implant is also known as a mammary prosthesis.
It typically takes from one half hour to one and a half hours to place the breast device, depending on such things as pocket location, incision, and the type of implant used.
